Arkansas Fishing Report: 11/19

If you’ve already taken a big buck, now is your opportunity to hit your favorite Arkansas river or lake, as Arkansas Fishing Reportsfishing pressure is way down this time of year.

While bass fishing is pretty slow around most of the Natural State right now, the crappie are biting well in South Arkansas, and the trout are “red hot” in North Arkansas, especially just below the Norfork Lake Dam at Dry Run Creek (youth and handicapped only).

Come and check out your favorite Arkansas lake or river in the Arkansas Fishing Forum.

Fishing Tip: When fishing in thick grass, use braided line (such as Spiderwire or Berkley Fireline) instead of monofilament. Braid cuts through the vegetation during the fight and is more sensitive. But be careful with braid and keep your fingers clear of the line when you set the hook and fight the fish; it can cut your skin, too.
