Springtime in the South

This past weekend the weather finally warmed up and it was a beautiful day outside! While I do like the colder weather and getting out and hunting, I have been looking forward to a day when I could be outside all day long and enjoy the sunshine.

The activities started out with a little yard work. Not the most exciting thing to do, but hey, it has to be done. After I got the yard cleaned up, we took a trip out to the farm to do some shooting. It’s been a while (and I could sure tell by my poor marksmanship) since I’ve gotten out and shot with my pistol so I was pretty pumped to get out there.

After we wrapped up the shooting trip, it was time to go to a crawfish boil! This time of year all over the place people are cooking up some mudbugs and having a good time.

My future father-in-law was a great host at his farm. The food was great and the company was even better! I got to visit with family and friends and see some folks I haven’t seen in years. It was an awesome time and the perfect ending to a great day.
